If there’s one hobby that I will never let go, that is watching my daughters’ videos again and again. My husband has captured my daughter’s growing up years from the time they were just born till this time if they are already four and six. He had also saved these videos in CDs. Imagine how many CDs I already have? Actually I already have hundreds. And how do you manage these hundreds of personal DVDs? I just use my favorite colored CD jewel cases.
I find it fun to organize my CDs this way. My husband burns the captured video on a single CD and then I put it on a single CD jewel case. I use color codes so that I can sort my videos properly. I use red for the CD jewel cases where I store video CDs of my eldest daughter and then I use purple for the video CDs of my younger baby. I bought a modest-sized cabinet where I put many of these CD jewel cases.
You can even choose to collect videos of your family members and family occasions. There are lots of events and occasions which occur regularly and yearly. Birthdays, Christmases, and New Years are just so happy occasions which are all worthy to be captured on videos. Usually, videos we have captured from last year will be watched by all the family for a passing fancy occasion this year. My family members always have a good time watching their past videos seeing how they looked last year.
Another favorite of mine is collecting videos I got with my husband. We both love to take videos of anything even those simple moments that we are just together such as when we taking a morning walk and I have just worn my new pair of rubber shoes. Memories of these simple moments are precious and you may definitely enjoy watching them on times you need to see them most.
Collecting videos is really fun and if you will store your collected video CDs in colored jewel cases like I do, sooner or later, you will also purchase a cabinet to set all those colorful cd jewel cases containing your precious memories.
